I’m an endlessly curious storyteller with a deep interest in culture, epistemology, and the ways we contextualize the world through artistic narratives.

My work spans profiles, reported features and essays, driven by a desire to explore cultural narratives and how art and literature shape our understanding of people and place.

My writing has appeared in the Los Angeles Times, ARTnews, Oprah Daily, Artsy, Teen Vogue, BOMB, Newsweek, The New York Observer, ARTnews Japan, Fiction Writers Review, Business Insider, Publishers Weekly, and ELLE, among others. My essays have also been translated into Arabic and Japanese.

Born in Las Vegas and raised in Southern California, I studied Journalism at American University in Washington, D.C. I’m also a member of the National Book Critics Circle, where I served on the panel for the Barrios Books in Translation Prize.

Previously, I was a Staff Writer at the MO4 Network, one of the largest English-language digital platforms in the MENA region, where I covered arts, culture, and startup sector.

I split my time between New York City and Cairo.
